A man has been taken to hospital after a late‑night assault in Glasgow city centre which left part of George Square taped off for hours. The 27‑year‑old was attacked on Cochrane Street, just off the square, at around 12.30am on Wednesday, June 24. Police were called to the scene and the man was taken to hospital for treatment. The nature of his injuries has not been disclosed.
