Rhizosphere microbiome dynamics and plant adaptation to abiotic stress in major oilseed crops: a review
Abstract Abiotic stresses, such as drought, salinity, extreme temperatures, nutrient deficiencies, and heavy metal contamination, severely limit oilseed crop productivity under accelerating climate change. This review synthesizes recent advances in understanding the critical role of soil and plant-associated microbiomes in conferring stress tolerance to major oilseed species, including rapeseed (Brassica napus), sunflower (Helianthus annuus), soybean (Glycine max), and sesame (Sesamum indicum).
The Enhancement of Fungal-Disease Resistance in Major Staple Crops Using CRISPR-Cas Technology
Submitted: 21 October 2025 You are already at the latest version Fungal pathogens represent a major constraint to global agricultural productivity, causing a wide range of plant diseases that severely affect staple crops such as cereals, legumes, and vegetables. These infections result in substantial yield losses, deterioration of grain and produce quality, and significant economic impacts across the entire agri-food sector.

Phytoremediation Properties of Sweet Potato for Soils Contaminated by Heavy Metals in South Kazakhstan
3. Results and Discussion 3.1. Validation of the Method A quantitative analysis of the HM was carried out, and calibration curve equations were plotted between concentrations 1.0 and 100 mg/L. The calibration curves consisted of four concentrations. Table 2 shows correlation coefficients, calibration curve equations, ranges, LOD, and LOQ values for each HM. The correlation coefficients were more than 99%, confirming excellent response.
