WICCOPEE - For the past couple years, Matt Olivieri’s teammates couldn’t pronounce his last name. The junior on the Clarkstown South High School boys basketball team didn’t mind, but before this season commenced he finally corrected them: “Uh-liv-e-air-e.” “A lot of people mispronounce it. But it’s OK,” Olivieri said. “As long as people know who I am.” He certainly caught the eye of everyone in the gym at John Jay-East Fishkill Thursday, leading the Vikings in a 75-58 win over the Patriots.
