To the Editor, CRISPR-Cas9-based Prime Editors (PEs) enable precise and programmable DNA modifications without requiring double-strand breaks or donor DNA templates (Anzalone et al. 2019). A PE consists of a nickase Cas9 (nCas9) fused to a reverse transcriptase (RT), guided by a Prime Editing guide RNA (pegRNA) (Figure 1a). This system expands the scope of genome editing with improved precision and minimal off-target effects, making it as a powerful toolkit for crop improvement (Chen and Liu 2023).

Abstract Background: Despite the broad availability of antihypertensive drugs, approximately 40% of hypertensive patients fail to achieve the recommended blood pressure (BP) levels and may require alternative treatment(s). At present, renal denervation is the only proven non-pharmacological device-based alternative treatment available, but it is a costly, invasive, hospital-based procedure that is unlikely to be widely available.

Harnessing the power of iridium AIEgens for NAD(P)H detection in aqueous medium and living cells† A rationally designed luminescent probe based on cyclometalated iridium(III) AIEgens was developed for the rapid, sensitive, and specific detection of NAD(P)H in aqueous media. This probe was successfully utilized for bioimaging of NADH within the mitochondria of living cancer cells, highlighting its potential as a valuable tool for investigating NADH-associated cellular processes.
