On Finsler Surfaces with Isotropic Main Scalar
1. Introduction By an investigation of the class of two-dimensional Finsler spaces, one can find that these spaces have special geometric properties that separate them from the spaces of higher dimensions [1,2,3,4,5]. For example, all two-dimensional Finsler metrics are C-reducible and do not need to be Randers or Kropina metrics. This fact means that the well-known conclusive theorem of Matsumoto-Hōjō does not work properly for two-dimensional Finsler spaces.
