1 Introduction Nitrogen containing heterocycles constitute fundamental scaffolds in medicinal chemistry owing to their structural diversity, electronic versatility, and broad biological relevance [1, 2]. Among these, pyrimidines are extensively distributed in natural products and pharmaceutical agents and exhibit distinctive physicochemical and biological properties [3, 4].
