By Alan Howe, The Australian On September 1, 1990, the four Daniher brothers – Neale, Terry, Anthony and Chris – ran out for Essendon against St Kilda, the first and only time a quartet of brothers has played in the same AFL game. It was typically generous of legendary coach Kevin Sheedy to make it happen. But none of the Danihers was out of his depth. Together they played a total of 752 AFL games. And that star-encrusted Essendon lineup made the AFL grand final weeks later.
