Veronica Minogue | Long Beach Current LBSU’s women’s soccer team has an undefeated record of 3-0-1 thanks to the superstar power of senior attacker Cherrie Cox, who has contributed to the success of the team. In the first four games she scored four goals in eight shots. From the four goals she scored a hat-trick not missing a single shot against Fresno State in a 5-0 blowout.

The Big West welcomes California Baptist University, Utah Valley University and Sacramento State to the conference this season. The three schools joined The Big West conference on July 1, bringing the conference to 12 members.

Charlotte LoCicero | Long Beach Current Long Beach State women’s soccer defeated Colgate 1-0 Sunday at George Allen Field, earning its first win of the season in the first match between the two programs. The Beach controlled much of the game, outshooting the Raiders 19-10 while consistently keeping possession in Colgate’s half of the field.
