Abstract Gastrointestinal parasitic infections constitute a major constraint to equine health and productivity, particularly in tropical regions where climatic and environmental conditions favor parasite survival and transmission. In Côte d’Ivoire, epidemiological data regarding gastrointestinal parasites in horses remain limited, especially in urban and peri-urban settings such as the district of Abidjan.

4. Discussion Ae albopictus, a mosquito vector of arboviral diseases, has expanded its distribution area globally due to its ability to adapt to climate change and new environments [44,45,46]. The alarming increase in dengue fever cases in some West African countries in recent years has received relatively less attention in Benin. This situation is justified by the lack of information about the distribution of the main vectors that are involved.

In Africa, vector surveillance is an integral component to the planning, implementation, monitoring, and the evaluation of vector control interventions. To assist with this goal, the current study was initiated in an area of Benin targeted for an IRS campaign to provide baseline data that could be used to help evaluate the impact and efficacy of IRS in the future.
