Add GIZMOCHINA as Preferred Source on Google Among the POCO F series, the POCO F9 Ultra is likely the model with the most “powerful” specs and the most well-rounded performance. It’s even pushing the boundaries of what a “flagship killer” phone can be. Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, a 6.9-inch 185Hz AMOLED display, an 8050mAh battery, a 200MP main camera, a 5x periscope telephoto camera, and even a Bose-tuned 2.1-channel speaker system.
XPPen Artist 16 3rd Review – A Precision‑Targeted ‘Pro’ Tool For Entry-Level
After refreshing its professional‑grade lineup, XPPen has finally turned its attention to the entry‑level segment with the Artist 16 3rd. After spending considerable time with it, I can say this is a precisely targeted and genuinely compelling product. It doesn’t chase top‑tier specs for the sake of marketing; instead, it takes the “goldilocks” 15.4‑inch screen size and pushes colour accuracy, pressure sensitivity, and interaction design to the top of its price bracket. Let’s dive in.

XPPen Artist Pro 27 (Gen 2) Review: The Ultimate 4K 120Hz Canvas for Professional Creators?
Intro We’ve tested our fair share of pen displays, from 12-inch portable pads to 16-inch professional slabs. But to be honest, compared to the standard monitors I use for daily work, even those felt a bit cramped. It got me thinking: is there a larger canvas available that truly allows for expansive, natural digital creation? That brings us to the subject of today’s in-depth review—the XPPen Artist Pro 27 (Gen 2).

Honor Magic V6 Experience: The New King of Foldables?
Introduction This is the all-new HONOR Magic V6, the brand’s latest foldable flagship. What caught me off guard immediately was its release timeline. Launching a full quarter earlier than last year’s Magic V5 and making a global debut at MWC 2026, HONOR is clearly playing a different game this year. This raises an interesting question: Why is HONOR doubling down on the foldable market with such aggressive timing? Today, we’re diving deep to see what this device is truly capable of.
Xiaomi 17 Standard Review: Does “value for money” still hold up?
Introduction Compared to the significant changes in the Pro series, the standard Xiaomi 17’s design hasn’t undergone major alterations from its predecessors—the 13, 14, and 15. Review: Looking for an All-Flash NAS System? LincPlus LincStation N2 Could be a Good Answer
Gizmochina Review has been looking for systems suitable for building an all-flash SSD NAS. My needs were clear: at least 4 U.2 NVMe slots with expandable self-contained 10GbE and above network ports. However, if anyone like us searches in the market so hard, he/she knows that this is not easy. Many manufacturers are still producing all-flash systems with 2.5GbE ports. Therefore, we expect a lot from the LincPlus LincStation N2, which will be reviewed soon.

Huawei FreeArc Review: Could change your ideas about open earbuds
The headphones we’re going to talk about today, may change the way you think about open headphones – it’s the Huawei FreeArc, Huawei’s brand new take on open headphones, that not only breaks through stereotypes in terms of sound quality, but also brings a lot of surprises in terms of the wearing experience. LENOVO LEGION Y700 2025 Review (Gen 4): All You Should Know about The Best Gaming Tablet
Last year, while the Chinese mobile device makers were releasing products with the Snapdragon 8 Elite, there was the disappointing Y700 Gen3, which didn’t feature the latest chipset, no TF card slot, and a smaller battery. And crucially, the screen is slow and unresponsive. However, the new Y700 Gen4 has a new look, the TF card slot is back, with the latest flagship processor, a sharper screen, and a larger battery.
ZimaBoard 2 Full Analysis: A New Exploration of Performance, Design and Functionality
We recently received an update from Zima Space. The ZimaBoard, which we’ve used and reviewed before, is still using a 14nm embedded CPU. This time, it upgraded its processor to Intel’s 7-process N150, which is Intel’s latest low-power embedded CPU. They also updated the exterior design this time, making the ZimaBoard 2 more geeky. In this post, we will be reviewing the ZimaBoard 2.

Lawyers, Here's How to Build Your Brand. No Cringing Required
As a young lawyer, I didn’t see the value of developing a personal brand. I always thought it was enough to just do good work. But I eventually realized that by ignoring my personal brand, I was letting others define me—often inaccurately—and it held me back in ways I didn’t fully appreciate. Eventually, my perspective changed. By then I’d left the practice of law to join a legal technology company.
OneOdio Focus A5 ANC Wireless Headset Review: An Unexpected Sonic Companion At Such Price
Getting a pair of ear-cover headphones becomes particularly important as the weather turns cold. Not only do your ears feel warm, but the headset also offers a moment of peace in the chaos. In this artcle, I found a budget option that comes with pretty decent performance – the OneOdio Focus A5. It attactive me first with a stylish appearance, and then excellent sound quality and a comfortable wearing experience help me decide to turn it into a review.
Digiera Magnetic Portable SSD Review: One Of The Best Ways to Add 1TB For Your iPhone/Android
This might be the most elegant solution for creative work on an iPhone. (Picking up the phone, showing the SSD) But is it suitable for use exclusively as an iPhone’s external storage? What advantages does it have compared to conventional USB drives or portable SSDs? So, in the upcoming tests, I will compare this DIGIERA with my DIY solution. Compared to regular portable SSDs, the LSP2000M is very small. It’s also very light.

General Counsel Gain More Resources When Team Impact Is Measured Original
Let’s say you’re a general counsel leading a resource constrained legal department. You’re entering planning season, and you anticipate even more work coming your way in the next year. You go into budgeting meetings armed with plenty of examples of your overworked team. But at the end of it all, you find out your department won’t be getting any additional resources. This may be a familiar scenario for many company executives, and it hits home for anyone leading a legal team.
Big Law, Defined Most by Talent, Is Driven to Early Recruitment
Big Law hiring never made any sense to me. As a law student, I learned that firms hired first-year associates exclusively through lavish summer associate programs that basically guaranteed full-time employment at the end. On-campus interviews for these plum positions, often called OCIs, occur right before the second year in law school. This means that firms do hiring for entry-level positions two years in advance based on your performance on just two semesters’ worth of law school exams.
What I learned at CLOC 2023
I just spent the past week in Las Vegas for the annual CLOC conference and it was such an amazing experience. Not only was I able to meet up with friends, make a bunch of Tik Toks (see here, here, and here), present a session on overcoming setbacks & failures, I also had the chance to have a ton of off the record conversations with buyers and vendors on the front lines of legal innovation.
This time is different
This is a free weekly email for Off The Record subscribers. If you’re interested in learning more about sales, marketing, and business development, consider upgrading to a paid subscription, which gives you full access to premium sales content. This week I’m going to elaborate on some of the posts I’ve been sharing on LinkedIn and Twitter about how AI will impact Biglaw, based on off the record conversations with a variety of players within the legal ecosystem.
Being a great associate is overrated
One of my goals with this newsletter is to share unspoken truths about the legal profession that I wish I knew when I was a young lawyer. An opportunity came up last week when I came across a Reddit thread about how to be a great associate. I shared on Twitter my skepticism about most of the content of this type of advice, and received some (respectful) pushback from many law firm lawyers. Today I’ll be sharing their counterpoints and my responses.
How AI will cross the legal chasm
Here’s how I see it playing out: Corporate legal will adopt AI technology more quickly than Biglaw due to pressures from the general business world and the existence of legal operations to help select reliable tech. Biglaw will struggle with adoption due to their reliance on the billable hour, which could be threatened by AI. Among firms, solos and smaller firms will be the earliest adopters as they are less bureaucratic and can rearrange their business model around new technology more easily.
The Extraordinary Journey Of Cece Xie - Above the Law
Cece Xie, a former Biglaw associate who became a bona fide influencer with over 400,000 followers, has had one of the most remarkable stories of balancing content creation with a career in the law. Unlike some of us who left the practice before becoming a content creator, Cece “blew up” on TikTok while working at her day job as an associate at Morrison & Foerster. I first met Cece virtually at an online creator meetup in 2021.

'Beer At Law' Tells All - Above the Law
Morning Docket Morning Docket: 12.19.22 * Scholars are increasingly worried about the Supreme Court’s shift toward lawless Star Chamber. Alternate headline: “New York Times Readers Learning What Savvy, Smart, And Undeniably More Attractive Above The Law Readers Have Known For Years. [NY Times] * A deep-dive into how Donald Trump manages his post-presidency the same way he managed his presidency, which is terrifying on a lot of levels.
Intro To Social Media For Lawyers - Above the Law
In recent weeks, I’ve been having a lot of conversations about lawyers on social media. Lots of people want to post content or build relationships online because it can be a great way to do business development, find a new career opportunity, or network with peers. The problem is that most people don’t know how to get started or can’t figure out which platform to focus on.
Failing My Way To Success - Above the Law
“This is the most important initiative at the company right now, and we need you to really focus on this,” they said. It was 2017, and I was a salesman who sold e-discovery technology to small law firms. The company I was working at was a hot venture-backed startup that was looking to move “upmarket” and to start selling their tech to some of the largest firms in the world. On paper it seemed pretty straightforward.
The Making Of A Biglaw Memelord - Above the Law
Memes have gone mainstream. They’re no longer just silly little jokes for Gen Z and millennials. A recent conversation with a 50-year-old lawyer made me realize that memes have cross-generational appeal, and have a significant impact on the real world. “I love memes,” the lawyer said. “Especially the ones from NonEquityPartner.” NonEquityPartner, an Instagram meme account with over 160,000 followers, is run by Bill Moore.
Your Bar Exam Results Won’t Define Your Career - Above the Law
The teachers always gave me some version of the same warning back when I was growing up. “You better study hard for this test! Because your score will go on your permanent record!” I was always very curious about this so-called permanent record. Where do they keep it? What if there’s a mistake? Is there an appeals process? These are not unusual questions to ask, especially if you’re the type of person who ends up going to law school. Over the years, the dramatic warnings got worse.
Are Conferences Still Worth It? - Above the Law
A few months ago, I wondered if it even makes sense to go to conferences any more. I understood the appeal, at least historically. You can grow your network, meet new friends, and learn from all the sessions. There are probably some pretty good reasons why people shell out hundreds or even thousands of dollars to attend — if only to get out of work without using your vacation days. But then the pandemic happened.
Don’t Waste Your Time Collecting Golden Tickets - Above the Law
I went to law school because I wanted to have a big impact on the world. For some reason I told myself that could only happen if I had the right credentials. Like working at a prestigious firm and doing a fancy clerkship. That’s why I set my sights on getting admitted to a top 10 school. Which oddly enough, includes 14 of them. Something strange happened along the way, though. I found myself trying to get credentials for their own sake. I guess you kind of have to, because everything’s so competitive.
Leaving The Partnership To Focus On Your Superpower - Above the Law
Imagine you’re a law firm partner. You’ve got amazing colleagues, a solid work-life balance, and make great money. But you’ve always felt like something was missing. Because while practicing law is fine, it doesn’t feel like that’s what you were meant to do. At the same time, you know you’ve got a pretty good deal. I mean, you’re a freaking law firm partner. So you ignore those thoughts about possibly doing something else. Right? Well, not if you’re Karen Vladeck.
Overnight Success, 2 Decades In The Making - Above the Law
In 2005, Laura Frederick traded her Biglaw job in San Francisco for an in-house role in Allentown, Pennsylvania, that paid half her former salary. “My goal was finding a job where I could leave at 5 p.m. every night, and didn’t have to work weekends,” she explained. “I wanted more time with my kids. I wasn’t focused on my professional life.” Fast forward to today.
Engaging Content, Meet The Legal Community - Above the Law Original
During the early days of the pandemic, Matt Margolis was an associate attorney in South Florida. Between managing his caseload and billing hours, he’d post funny law-related content on social media. Unfortunately, the partners at his firm weren’t too happy about it. “You’re an associate,” they reminded him. “Your job is to sit in that chair and bill lots of hours. Not to mess around on social media.” At this point, most associates would’ve stopped posting. Not Matt though.
A Funny Thing Happened On My Way To A Law Career - Above the Law
I never expected to be TikTok famous. But life works in funny ways. I mean, my original plan was to become a successful trial lawyer. Which is why I became a litigation associate at the most prestigious Biglaw firm that would hire me. For some inexplicable reason, I thought being in litigation meant that I’d be cross examining witnesses or delivering closing statements. But that’s not what happened.
Stakeholder perspective on barrier to the implementation of Advance Care Planning in a traditionally paternalistic healthcare system

Challenge white privilege in the University and beyond
At every stage of my life, though originally I didn’t know it, it was easier for me than it was for a Black, Asian, or Minority Ethnic person; for a woman; for someone disabled; or for a member of the LGBTQ+ community to be shortlisted for jobs, to be elected by a majority, and to get the big opportunity. Even with comparable qualifications, experience and ability. My life has not been played out on a level field. I have had a constant, unearned and unfair advantage.
How to force Mathematica to interpret a file as HTML?
Some web pages do not explicitly contain the file extension "html" but is formatted that way (like this one). If I saved this page to my computer then Mathematica could parse it correctly. But if I just write , it returns weird stuff. How could I force mathematica to interpret the ".sd" page as HTML? Thanks!
Perform operation on part of a table / create a reference
There is a function f that I would like to operate on a rectangular part of a table t. The part is specified by function Part[t, Sequence @@ (Span @@ # & /@ rect)] This would work as I intended Part[t, Sequence @@ (Span @@ # & /@ rect)] = Map[f, Part[t, Sequence @@ (Span @@ # & /@ rect)], {2}] ] But I have to repeat this long, tedious Part twice.
How to find a rough solution to a set of equations without an exact solution?
I have a set of equations $f_i(a,b,c,d)=F_i$ where $i=1\dots 6$. $f_i$ is not linear and is computationally expensive. $F_i$ is a known constant. There is not exact solution (either analytic or numerical) to this system, so I just want to find the parameters $a,b,c,d$ that give the best fit. How should I do this? Thanks!
Statistical significance test of FindCluster
I have a list of vectors which could be roughly divided into two clusters. The list is huge so I have to use to speed up the calculation. But some vectors would oscillate between two clusters when taking different samples of the original huge list. So I would like to know how well a vector fits in its cluster. I added , but nothing seems to be happening. Is there a way to get a return of some kind of "confidence value" for each vector? Thanks!
