1 Background Climate change is widely recognised as the greatest threat to human health in the 21st century, yet the healthcare sector paradoxically remains a significant contributor to global greenhouse gas emissions [1]. In Australia, healthcare contributes 5%–7% of total national carbon dioxide emissions (CO2e) [2].
