These are difficult times for public health. Yet I leave AJPH strong—in its science, its financial footing, and its unwavering commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). I am particularly proud that the Journal has stood firm in defending the integrity of science against obscurantist attacks and political pressure.
