Alice Moreno is a Colombian-American photojournalist based in New York City. Born and raised in Miami, she grew up with storytellers: her father, a former journalist during the tumultuous times of 1990s Colombia, and her mother, who told stories from her childhood growing up in a small village. Moreno became intrigued with people’s backgrounds, interested in their history and longing to hear more. She graduated from Fordham University in August 2023, obtaining her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism…

I love hearing about people's stories. Everyone comes from different walks of life and not one story is unique.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

Nope. I was a part of my community college's paper -- I was photo editor at MDC's The Reporter.

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

Playing video games or shopping!
