Photo Shutterstock Police have quashed a sophisticated money laundering scheme that operated through casinos in Niagara and elsewhere in Ontario. The Hamilton-Niagara RCMP branch announced Tuesday that five people face charges following a lengthy investigation into money laundering and drug trafficking. About $24 million in cannabis and more than $1 million in cash was seized as a result of the investigation.
