What was your first job as a journalist?
My first big byline was a one-off for USA Today after writing for regional and local pubs like the Resident publications in NYC.
Have you ever used a typewriter?
I used to use a Brother Selectric typewriter but have also used manual typewriters - you need strong fingers!
How is social media changing news?
We live in a NOW era where the expectation of immediate, on-the-spot and in-the-moment reporting is high. Quality is diminishing.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
I use Wordpress, Canva, PhotoShop, and Garageband mostly
What's your favorite social network?

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I was editor-in-chief of my middle school newspaper. Back in the day of pasting layouts.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Write, write, write. Submit your writing. Always strive for truth.
