A Tale of Two Parties: Kids Edition
"All progressive social experiments require children to make sacrifices, whether it’s abortion, gender ideology, race-based DEI education, or shutting down schools for COVID-19. The voiceless and most vulnerable are always made to pay the price." That's a quote from the book "Toxic Empathy: How Progressives Exploit Christian Compassion" by Allie Beth Stuckey. While I haven't read the book, our editor, Chris Queen has and loved it, and he happened to send me that quote last month.
Allie Beth Stuckey Calls Out Toxic Empathy
While empathy is key to having a compassionate society, it’s also something that can be easily exploited by politics and personal agendas. Author, speaker, and podcast host Allie Beth Stuckey explains how progressives manipulate stories and political positions to appear loving. In her new book, Toxic Empathy, she explains how Christians can look back to God’s definition of love as an example of how to live their lives.
Kamala Harris is a mean girl
She is a cold, calculating, mean-spirited career politician. Her track record demonstrates this clearly. As San Francisco District Attorney, Harris refused to seek the death penalty for the man who brutally murdered police officer Isaac Espinoza. Espinoza left behind his three-year-old daughter and his beloved wife, Renata, who claimed that Harris never once contacted her to offer her condolences.
Christian voters hesitate: Trump’s abortion record in doubt
You and I can’t understand how a professing Christian could vote for a rabid abortion warrior like Kamala Harris or a mostly-lefty like Robert F. Kennedy Jr. or give someone half a vote by writing in another candidate. But based on the many Christian women I talk to every day, I can tell you their calculation. I know you disagree with them. I disagree with them too. But so you know, this is generally their thinking: Abortion is the main issue, and they see every candidate as functionally pro-choice.

You only compare white vs.
You’re Not Perfect The Way You Are (And That’s Okay)
These are what I call personality-building years. The cuteness that helped us get our way has faded, and we’re forced to develop a sense of humor to make friends and cope with the awkwardness of life. As girls, we start to want to do things that make us feel older, like wearing makeup or shaving our legs. For me, one of those things was getting my eyebrows waxed. I really wanted to, but my mom wouldn’t let me. She said I didn’t need it, and she was right.
Book excerpt: Allie Beth Stuckey on morality defined by the mob
By Allie Beth Stuckey, Op-ed Contributor | Friday, August 07, 2020 From You're Not Enough (And That's Okay): Escaping the Toxic Culture of Self-Love by Allie Beth Stuckey published by Portfolio, an imprint of The Penguin Publishing Group, a division of Penguin Random House, LLC.
Allie Beth Stuckey: The US and all we stand for are worth celebrating
With chaos raging in America's most populous cities, it may feel counterintuitive to celebrate the 4th of July. But the attempts at destruction from which our nation is suffering is precisely why we should be honoring Independence Day more gratefully and fervently than ever. There's one thing on which all Americans can agree: Our country, like all countries, is imperfect.
Allie Beth Stuckey: Harvard grad wrong to blame firing over 'stab' video on Trump supporters but deserves grace
When Harvard graduate Claira Janover posted a video to TikTok stating her distaste for people who say “all lives matter,” she likely wasn’t expecting the widespread backlash that would ensue on the Internet, much less the termination of her employment at Deloitte.
Allie Beth Stuckey: March for Life shows pro-life cause is strong - Abortion is child murder, not health care
The thousands of people who gathered in Washington Friday for the 46th March for Life proved that enthusiasm for the pro-life cause is as strong as it’s ever been. Marchers were in historic company. Much to the chagrin of the leftist media, President Trump was the first president in history to attend the event.
Allie Beth Stuckey: Democratic presidential candidates have a big charitable giving problem
Several Democratic presidential candidates released their tax returns in an effort to contrast their transparency with President Trump’s opaqueness regarding his finances. But by attempting to prove their virtue, they accomplished just the opposite. Their tax returns revealed that each of the Democratic candidates gave an embarrassingly low percentage of their sizable income to charity in recent years. Massachusetts Sen.
Beto O'Rourke embodies everything the left says it hates: Today's talker
Beto O'Rourke announced his candidacy for president Thursday, following months of speculation after he lost a Senate seat in Texas. Democrats need Beto, even though he embodies what they 'hate' By Allie Beth Stuckey Robert "Beto" O'Rourke should worry Republicans. With less baggage than Joe Biden and Sens. Bernie Sanders, Kamala Harris, Amy Klobuchar and Elizabeth Warren; more name recognition than Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper, Washington Gov.

The Agenda Is Infanticide
The opinions expressed by columnists are their own and do not represent the views of Townhall.com. The Virginia House of Delegates proposed a bill legalizing abortion through all nine months. Delegate Kathy Tran (D-Fairfax) confirmed that abortion would be available to the mother even while in natural labor, as long as it was for the reason of “mental health.” The definition of “mental health” is obscure in the bill. So, that’s that, pro-choicers. No more pretending this is about healthcare.
Thank You, New York
The opinions expressed by columnists are their own and do not represent the views of Townhall.com. New York’s Reproductive Health Act decriminalizes abortion through all nine months, defines “person” as “a human being who has been born and is alive” and adds the caveat of “health” of the mother, a purposely undefined term meant to include all factors outlined in Doe v. Bolton that may impact the “well-being of the patient,” including mental and emotional stability, family situation and age.
The Media Still Don't Get It
On a weekly basis, we watch members of the media hyperbolize or distort reality to fit their politically motivated foregone conclusions. It’s no longer shocking. Many journalists view themselves not as reporters but as vigilantes: they aim not to share the truth, but to sway their readers or viewers in the ideological direction they seem moral. It is no surprise, then, that they often get the story wrong. Blinding bias tends to have that effect.
The Religion of Leftism
Over the last decade, America has moved drastically to the left. Not only are more people on the left than ever before, the left is further left than it’s ever been. This radical brand of progressivism has come to be known as “leftism”—an extreme yet increasingly dominant segment of the political spectrum. At the same time, America has grown more secular. According to Pew, “religious nones” are rapidly growing in number.

White Women Don't Need Your Saving
Republicans foiled Democrats’ dreams of a Senator O’Rourke, a Governor Gillum and a Governor Abrams, and, apparently, white women are to blame for it. One Twitter warrior deemed white women “footsoldiers of the patriarchy” for voting Republican, claiming that their decision is based on a desire to submit to their husbands. Jemele Hill, staff writer for The Atlantic, argued that white women are not “the face of feminism,” because they voted for Ted Cruz and, in 2016, for Donald Trump.
Before Believing Kavanaugh's Accuser
The opinions expressed by columnists are their own and do not represent the views of Townhall.com. On Sunday, the Washington Post published the account of Brett Kavanaugh’s previously anonymous accuser. Her name is Christine Blasey Ford, she is a professor in California, and she claims Kavanaugh forced himself on her in high school—more than 30 years ago. Ford says she contacted Senator Feinstein’s office with her story in July, and she had hoped that her story would be kept secret.
What Democrats Still Don't Get
Since the election, there has been ample speculation about how Trump “happened.” Last week, Obama offered his hypothesis: resentment and paranoia on the right. He lamented the destruction of the Republican Party and the ensuing demise of America because of the divisiveness and bigotry propagated by the president and those who support him. It seems that most on the left agree with Obama’s view.
Make men masculine again
Rape, murder, war—they all have one thing in common: Men. Aggression, violence, ambition, unchecked by conscience—all the stuff of “toxic masculinity,” right? And, the solution is obvious: make men less toxic. Make men less masculine. Make men more like women. But I’m here to tell you that this way of thinking is not only wrong, it’s dangerous. Here’s why: When you try to make men more like women, you don’t get less “toxic masculinity,” you get more. Why?

On the one hand, supporters of the law led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu insist that the law is a vital step in entrenching and protecting Israel’s Jewish identity. After the law passed last Thursday night, Netanyahu declared, “This is a pivotal moment in the annals of Zionism and the annals of the State of Israel.
When They Go Low
The opinions expressed by columnists are their own and do not represent the views of Townhall.com. The left has acted out more than usual the past two weeks. Secretary of Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen was heckled by protestors in public and at home. Sarah Sanders was kicked out of a restaurant for her affiliation with President Trump. Mitch McConnell and his wife and Transportation Secretary, Elaine Chao, were confronted by a group of men at Georgetown University.
Our Society Needs More Masculinity, Not Less
It’s trendy these days to blame our problems on men– mass shootings, sexual assault, war. All of these, feminists say, can be traced back to what they call “toxic masculinity” — the infectious disease of maleness that we’ve let pervade society for far too long. Since, they purport, men are the common denominator in so many of the tragedies our country endures, they must be the root of our unrest.
