Working with the “best of the best” is something Barry Fisher credits for his success with conservation. He was thrown in with those conservation trailblazers right out of college in the 1980s, but now, over 40 years later, he has joined the ranks of those leaders. The 2026 Honorary Indiana Master Farmer from Greencastle punctuated his 39-year career with the Natural Resources Conservation Service by serving as central region leader for the Soil Health Division, which he helped create.
