Results Descriptive characteristics at baseline (aged 40–44) are shown in table 1. There was an equal split of men and women. The majority of the sample had completed a tertiary degree (40.4%), were working in high-skilled occupations (53.3%) and had parental responsibilities (65.8%). Data on the key exposure and outcome are seen in table 2. Across all waves, 41.7% of participants reported exposure to one job stressor, and close to 80% reported exposure to one job stressor across any wave.
