Why did you become a journalist?

I became a journalist because I like to be in tuned with current affairs, I love writing and I also love to highlight issues affecting other.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

I am proud about my reporting on the COVID pandemic and how it affected indigenous villages in Guyana.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

I would advise journalists to always fact check their stories and to always continue to build their network of contacts

Early in the morning

To write about a beach which emerges from the Takutu River near Brazil/Guyana border

To cover a political story
