NASA’s latest mission crew, Artemis II, honored mission commander Reid Wiseman’s late wife, JMU alumna Carroll Taylor Wiseman (‘95), by naming a newly discovered crater on the moon after her, prompting tears and a group embrace in space. Carroll graduated from JMU in 1995 as a biology major and then continued her education at VCU to become a pediatric nurse practitioner. At JMU, Carroll was a part of the Alpha Sigma Tau (AST) sorority. In 2003, Carroll married Reid, a NASA astronaut.
