Amanda Bray

On Sept. 16, 1918, Charles Raymond Bray was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado. A veteran of WWII and the Vietnam and Korean wars, he chose not to talk much about what he saw overseas. It’s just not what folks from his generation did. Looking back, I can see how he found beauty and perhaps moments of peace in his life — and that usually meant he had headphones on over his ears.

I invited Mary Roblyn who writes Writer, interrupted, to talk about the experience of writing something versus publishing it — because I’m eager for us to start unpacking the ocean of inner experience that shows up between the moment we write something and the steps we take when we decide to give it to the world.
