Olivia: Whether it was painting, cooking, collaging, making pottery, or even taking a woodworking class at summer camp, I was always pursuing my creative interests. I fell in love with art history in high school. My classes introduced me to historic traditions in color and craft, giving me my first real understanding of the legacy craft can have on a culture. My first time in India was part of a gap semester program through the University of Georgia.

Photographer Carla Coulson is known for taking images that can transport you around the world, but in her latest two series, she focuses on the beauty of florals and the stories they tell.
