Amanda Coyne’s Biography

Amanda is a reporter and editor based in in Greenville, S.C. who has won awards for social media strategy, public service reporting and special projects. She currently covers business, politics and the 2016 South Carolina presidential primary for the Greenville News. Her coverage of the primary through social media has been cited by the Washington Post's The Fix.

Amanda has been a reporter for The State and the Post and Courier and served in senior editorial positions at Garnet & Black magazine. At the University of South Carolina, Amanda was editor-in-chief of The Daily Gamecock and earned a bachelor's degree in political science with a minor in women's and gender studies.
