It’s clear that Stel has a strong affinity for smaller audiences. All she wants is to party with her friends. Because she comes from such a tight knit scene in Vancouver, it’s no surprise. There is genuine excitement and connection between her and her fans. It’s hard to believe this is the same girl opening for Lorde next to Smerz and Erika De Casier. So for tonight, everyone at the Empty Bottle can say they’re a friend of Sophia Stel. That’s not to say big things aren’t in store for Stel.
