At my internship

I think social media is changing news because now we are able to find out about more news at a faster rate and share them.

Betty Suarez or Perd Hapley.

What does it mean to be a journalist?

To be able to share stories effectively.

Too many to share!

With passion and details.

Grammarly is one of my go-to's!

Instagram.

Why did you become a journalist?

I love storytelling and the process of being creative to channel a specific voice.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

No but I wish I did.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

I have written personal stories and am continuing to do so and I'm proud of them because it shows the strength in vulnerability.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Find your voice and be attentive to details.

When's the best time to pitch you?

Anytime.

What's your favorite drink?

Chicha Morada or Inca Kola

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

Around the dinner table sharing food with family or friends.

What's the most common misperception about your beat?

That it can be too conversational.
