I am a DePaul University alum with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and a concentration in Latinx media and communication. I'm currently an Editorial Intern at In These Times in Chicago. I served as Editor-in-Chief of The DePaulia for the 2017-2018 school year. I spent about 6 months on staff as a Copy Editor before taking over in a big transition year. In Spring 2017, I completed the Reporting Fellowship program with City Bureau. Upon completion of my internship, I hope to find full-time work …

What was your first job as a journalist?

I was a copy editor at The DePaulia.

How is social media changing news?

Journalists need to think and be quick.

How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?

I like emails, of course, but I especially love phone calls. If you can catch me at a good time, chatting out your idea would make my day.
