(KTEN) — Heavy rain led to flash flooding across parts of southern Oklahoma on Tuesday. The National Weather Service in Norman issued a Flash Flood Emergency alert for Atoka County at noon, its first such warning since 2019. Multiple water rescues were reported near Bentley, Oklahoma. The Caney Volunteer Fire Department reported that all four lanes US 69/75 between Caney and Tushka are completely under water at Lain Lake Road. Flash floods were also reported in parts of McCurtain County.
