Exclusive Families say they've always had major concerns about exactly what was dumped and where, as ITV News Correspondent Amy Lewis reports ITV News has obtained documents that suggest that thousands of tonnes of toxic waste from Corby’s former steelworks was dumped under roads, parks, playing fields and in open spaces.

Rivers in Corby, home to Britain’s worst toxic waste scandal, are polluted with metals that could pose a risk to aquatic life, a new report finds. Families affected by the scandal joined the environmental charity Earthwatch Europe to test 59 sites across the Northamptonshire town in November. The results have detected at least one metal or metalloid at a concentration above the level which adversely affects aquatic ecosystems at every site, according to the charity.
