Zambia’s gaming and betting businesses can use a new tax relief programme to settle qualifying outstanding liabilities without paying accrued penalties and interest. The Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) launched the Extended Voluntary Disclosure Scheme (EVDS), giving eligible taxpayers until 31 December 2026 to regularise tax affairs for periods ending on or before 31 August. The scheme covers several domestic taxes, including Presumptive Tax on Gaming and Betting and the Betting Levy.

Tech Race Summit 2026 brought iGaming and global technology companies together to tackle the scaling, security, and AI challenges shared across high-load industries. The sold-out debut, organised by SOFTSWISS, brought around 1,500 technology and iGaming professionals to Warsaw on 10 September. The summit gathered representatives of more than 25 iGaming companies and more than 40 speakers across three stages: Vision, Solution, and Experiment.

Namibia’s Gambling Board is preparing to begin the next stage of its bookmaker and totalizator licensing process, with applicants due to attend a regulatory workshop on 15 October 2026. The Gambling Board of Namibia (GBN) said the consultation will focus on how licence applications will be investigated and how proposed wagering and betting platforms will be assessed for technical compliance. The process falls under the Gaming and Entertainment Control Act, 2018 (Act No. 13 of 2018).
