The Gemeinsame Glücksspielbehörde der Länder (GGL), the joint gambling authority of Germany’s 16 federal states, set out its position as the country reviews the Interstate Treaty on Gambling 2021 (GlüStV 2021), the legal framework governing gambling across Germany.

Zambia tax relief scheme covers gaming and betting

Zambia’s gaming and betting businesses can use a new tax relief programme to settle qualifying outstanding liabilities without paying accrued penalties and interest. The Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) launched the Extended Voluntary Disclosure Scheme (EVDS), giving eligible taxpayers until 31 December 2026 to regularise tax affairs for periods ending on or before 31 August. The scheme covers several domestic taxes, including Presumptive Tax on Gaming and Betting and the Betting Levy.
