Impostor syndrome? Fuhgeddaboudit, and step into the role you deserve! A few months ago, the Young Ophthalmologist (YO) Committee asked me to be the keynote speaker for the Academy’s Mid-Year Forum 2025 L.E.A.P. Forward session and talk about leadership. My first thought was, “Who, me?!” As I put together my talk, I had to step back and observe as “impostor syndrome” crept into my thoughts.
