Introduction Skin cancer accounts for over 1.5 million cases diagnosed globally in 2020, and although melanoma accounts only for 1% of the total, it is one of the most invasive human cancers with a high potential for metastasis and a fatal outcome. Among all human cancers, melanoma represents the highest mutation burden, allowing cancer cells to resist and avoid treatments.

Introduction Myelin is a lipid-rich multilayer membrane which surrounds the majority of vertebrate axons, provides them with metabolic and trophic support and insulates them, thus ensuring the rapid propagation of nerve signals.
