Attackers are targeting Active Directory in nearly every type of attack, especially ransomware attacks. Unfortunately, organizations struggle with where to begin to secure AD, as well as what should be emphasized. Ransomware has become a top security risk for businesses of all shapes and sizes. It is evolving at a rapid pace and has driven a string of attacks over the past 12 months – the outcomes of which, nobody would have believed possible. Ransomware attacks cause downtime, data loss, possible intellectual property theft and, in some industries, an attack is considered a data breach.

The debate over Chinese tech giant Huawei’s presence in the UK rages on and it seems that the arguments for a US-style, outright ban are becoming more persuasive. The situation looks to be going from bad to worse for Huawei, and attempts to disassociate itself from Western suspicion of the Chinese state are falling on deaf ears.
