Fantasy Expert: Steelers offense will be an 'epic disaster'
One professional fantasy football expert expects a pretty grim year from the Steelers offense. CBS Sports Fantasy Football insider Dan Schneier recently said on “Fantasy Football Today” that the offense will be an “epic disaster” no matter on who starts at quarterback, Mitch Trubisky or Kenny Pickett.
Fillipponi: Why I voted for Kenny Pickett to win the Heisman

And I was one of them.
PM Team’s final Steelers mock draft for 2021
It's draft night. That's a big deal for us at the PM Team. Last year, we got bored. With no sports going on and all. So we started working our sources for Steelers draft tips. Steelers brass stopped taking Mueller's calls after he called for Big Ben's head. Kraig's calls went straight to voicemail because Steelers officials didn't want to associate with a known sports betting syndicate. But thankfully, Fillipponi still has friends in high places.
Penguins 'shocked' by Rutherford departure, health not a factor in resignation
Photo credit (Photo by Bruce Bennett/Getty Images) By Andrew Limberg Chris Mueller and Andrew Fillipponi 3 minutes ago Penguins fans and the hockey world received shocking news on Wednesday, when Pittsburgh’s general manager Jim Rutherford announced he was resigning from his post. The 3x Stanley Cup winner (two with the Penguins) cited personal reasons for his departure.
Steelers need to at least make a phone call about Watson
By Andrew Limberg Jim Colony and Andrew Fillipponi 3 minutes ago It is looking for and more like Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson really wants out of Houston and with Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger’s future uncertain, the Steelers should at least make a call. Joining the PM Team, reporter Jim Colony says they at the very least need to make a call.
Fillipponi: The top 50 Steelers for 2020
Football fans love rankings. Well actually, they hate them. Because they never agree with them. But they do create fodder. And debate. Two things I live for. Take for instance, Pete Prisco from CBS Sports. He ranked the top 100 players in the NFL this week. It was so bad, Prisco should lose his Pro Football Hall of Fame vote. His football acumen is tiny. He didn't rank Minkah in his top 100. Or Big Ben. But he included Bud Dupree and Juju. Go figure. I have created my own set of rankings.
Fillipponi: Football Media Idiotically Pick Browns Over Steelers
Breaking News Chris Mueller learned his lesson. My bald-headed compatriot picked Cleveland to have a breakout 2019. Baker Mayfield was better than Big Ben. OBJ would make the Browns better and trading AB would make the Steelers worse. He said it a lot. It was infuriating. Obnoxious. But also entertaining. Then the Browns went 6-10. They fired their head coach and GM. OBJ asked to be traded. Baker Mayfield sucked. Mueller ate crow. And pledged to never hitch his ride to the Browns ever again.
Fillipponi: Steelers Schedule Makes Them A Playoff Lock
The Steelers schedule was released last night. That made me smile. Because it's a Steelers fan's dream. Full of beatable opponents. Spaced out nicely. They better win a ton of games. For Tomlin's sake. I love making predictions. I've gotten very good at them over the years. I was very happy when Pennsylvania legalized sports betting. It's been quite profitable. Our listeners are obsessed with my picks. They beg me to make them during Steelers season. They demand a comprehensive breakdown of each prediction.
Steelers [Positive] Thoughts for 2020
We could all use some positive vibes right now. Luckily, I'm always thinking positively. Glass isn't half full. It's overflowing. Spilling all over the place. I'm a big believer in positive thinking. I won't apologize for it. Even though our listeners get on my case for being so positive. It's who I am. Here are some reasons to like the Steelers in 2020. Sure, they missed out on a young, workhorse running back in the draft. Or via trade. And maybe they have the worst backup quarterbacks in the NFL.

Fillipponi: What Happened To Win Now?
Photo credit Christian Petersen/Getty Images By Andrew Fillipponi, 93.7 The Fan I have to keep telling myself the Steelers used their 1st round pick on Minkah Fitzpatrick. "They got Minkah." "They got Minkah." "They got Minkah." I keep repeating it to myself. On the air. In my head. To my two delightful dogs. Without Minkah, the 2020 Steelers draft is driving me mad. Well, with one notable exception, more on that later. I was under the impression that the Steelers would use this draft weekend for 2020.

Fillipponi: Why I Am Suspending My Jameis Winston To The Steelers Campaign
Breaking News Effective immediately, I am suspending my Jameis Winston to the Steelers campaign. I'm shutting it down. Jameis is dragging his feet. He's vacillating. Unsure of what to do next. The Steelers can't afford to wait. A bigger opportunity has emerged. And it needs addressed right now. That's why I'm officially endorsing Leonard Fournette to the Steelers. Sources say all it would take is a Day 3 NFL draft pick to sign him.

John bain, aka @Totalbiscuit did more good for the gaming community than most of us could do in 10 lifetimes. He believed in me when I did not believe in myself. He encouraged me to become the person I am. A mentor. A friend. So much more. He will be missed. Rest in peace.

Artie Burns said players remaining in locker room during anthem is not a solution. "It makes you look bad. The whole team is out there and you come jogging out (and people say) 'Oh, he's the guy that's (protesting).' Who wants to go through that? That's humiliating as a person.
Fillipponi: Bell's big bucks won't buy him common sense
Le’Veon Bell latest tweet reveals what I’ve long believed: that the Steelers running back is a tone-deaf narcissist who is oblivious to reality.Along with football player and rapper, Bell has added “villain” to his list of occupations. This latest portrayal is a puzzler. Somehow fans are out of line for criticizing Bell’s inflated sense of self-worth. Hogwash.Bell thinks he’s a running back and wide receiver, that’s why he's seeking an unprecedented annual salary of 17 million dollars.
Poni: Morgan Burnett is solid and that beats Mike Mitchell
Last football season I adopted a pretty simple belief: any safety not named Mike Mitchell was better than Mike Mitchell. So when news came down Tuesday that the Steelers had signed Morgan Burnett, I was ecstatic.Mitchell’s mouth produced at an all-pro level while his play on the field looked like something out of a blooper reel. He celebrated tackles after big gains. He threatened opposing players outside of their locker room. He produced no interceptions and forced no fumbles.
Fillipponi: Let Me Spend Le'Veon Bell's Money
The Steelers shouldn’t give into Le’Veon Bell’s absurd demands. He’s not worth 14.5 million dollars. The franchise tag he’ll play on, when he decides to get out of the rap studio and sign it, will pay him 43% more than the 2nd highest paid running back (DeVonta Freeman). That’s way too much for a player that didn’t even bother to show up to practice the day before a playoff game.
Fillipponi: 3 Moves the Pirates Should Have Made
Andrew McCutchen is a San Francisco Giant who is still thinking about his time in a Pirates uniform. He told the Post-Gazette that the Pirates didn’t do enough to win. “If it was making some moves that needed to be made—one or two—I think that’s something that needed to happen. We had that window. I think we had some key moves that could have been made to make the team a little stronger. But that’s something we didn’t do.”Pirates ownership hasn’t done its part.
