Andrew Hildreth, Ph.D is a Liveryman at the Worshipful Company of Clockmakers and a Freeman of the City of London, which permits him the pretty cool title of "Citizen and Clockmaker of London." He is a luxury watch and travel specialist: journalist and photographer, who is interested in testing watches for the purpose for which they have been designed and made; and researching the history of complications and escapements. His articles cover vintage car racing, sailing, aviation, and travel; as well as the vintage watch market and the history of horology. Dr. Hildreth has written for a variety of publications on watches, including Revolution, Hodinkee, WatchesbySJX, Watch Journal, QP, The Hour, Calibre, and others, in addition to having been a moderator at PuristsPro.com.
