The FTC finalized significant updates to the rule last October, which were originally scheduled to take effect on May 14, 2025. FTC “Click-to-Cancel” Rule to Take Effect May 14 | JD Supra
In October 2024, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) finalized significant updates to the Negative Option Rule, which are slated to take effect on May 14, 2025. A negative option is a contract term under which a buyer agrees that its silence or inaction will be interpreted as consent – often to renew a subscription or incur recurring charges. The new rule requires, among other things, that canceling an automatically renewing subscription online must be as easy as subscribing in the first place.

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC or Commission) has announced that it will seek public comment on its Guides for the Use of Environmental Marketing Claims (the Green Guides), formally commencing the periodic review it announced last year.1 The agency will also consider whether to pursue rulemaking to establish environmental marketing regulations that, unlike the Green Guides, would carry the force of law, including substantial civil penalties for any violations.

Use A Habit Tracker This Summer To Become A Better Shooter
Set Goals And Track Your Shooting The first time that I tracked my shooting was during summer camp when I was in middle school. The camp had a 5000 Shot Club, and I could become a member and get a T-shirt if I made 5000 shots over the rest of the summer. I was determined to make the Shot Club and get my free T-shirt, so I got to work.

Stick and Bat Sport Resistant Band Workout
Rotational power is essential for athletes to create maximal speed using their stick and bat. Resistance bands are great to train rotational strength and speed for sport-specific movements. However, resistance bands are very versatile. You can attach them to basically anything and simulate and train sport-specific movements effectively.

How to Hydrate Properly to Maintain Your Performance in the Summer Heat
Staying hydrated is critical to an athlete’s performance. In the heat of July and August, athletes are especially prone to dehydration. Just a 2.5 percent loss in weight from dehydration can impair the capacity to perform high-intensity exercise by 45 percent, according to a 1985 study. Across the board, dehydration reduces athletic capability by decreasing blood flow, sweat rates and heat dissipation while increasing an athlete’s core temperature and use of energy.

How Athletes Are Affected by the Racial Issues of Today
America has a very long history of tumultuous race relations amongst its various communities. The abolition of slavery didn’t end racism, and the Civil Rights movement of the 1960s didn’t solve every problem faced by Black Americans either. It’s never been simple and easy. Instead, the Black community in America continues to face a long and difficult journey, one that is particularly hazardous to the mental health of our athletes.
Are Plant-Based Burgers healthy?
According to Yahoo News, “Americans consume an average of 2.4 burgers per day according to the USDA, which is about 50 billion burgers per year.” That’s a lot of beef. But what about those people at the backyard BBQ who don’t eat meat? Cue the Impossible Burger, entirely plant-based food with the consistency, taste, and appeal of its cow-derived counterpart. What is plant-based meat made from? Depending upon the brand, plant-based meat substitutes vary in terms of the ingredients.

The capstone to any healthy BBQ meal is a delicious dessert. But don’t settle for boring (and calorie-dense) cake and ice cream. You can get far more flavor out of far fewer calories with creative grilled desserts. Some individuals swear by it, while others think it’s just a flashy sports marketing gimmick.
How To Reach The Reluctant Player
Three tips for engaging a young athlete who isn’t quite sure yet. When my daughter was in 6th grade we moved from New York to California, where we knew no one. She was never interested in sports but for a variety of reasons — she loved being in the water, a neighbor’s daughter played — we nudged her to give water polo a try. I remember the first day so well. My daughter could swim just two laps and then broke down into tears in the shallow end. I felt like the worst parent for pushing it.

Last year’s Elite 11 Finals took place at Lipscomb Academy in Nashville, Tenn., and not Los Angeles, the usual home, because of the COVID-19 pandemic. But fear not, the camp for the most elite QB prospects in high school football that includes NFL alumni like Mac Jones, Trevor Lawrence, and Justin Fields, will return to Mira Costa High School in Manhattan Beach from June 30 to July 3.

Help Me Believe
Polls show that politicians are part of a profession that is not respected and not trusted. I respect the office of Prime Minister of Israel, but I do not trust, nor can I respect, Benjamin Netanyahu. Last year, at the General Assembly (GA) in the States, Bibi promised significant funding for the Masorti and Reform movements in Israel. So far – that promise has not been fulfilled.
Medical marijuana should be allowed one foot from Philly daycares | Opinion
As one of the first lawyers in Pennsylvania to venture into the legal world of medical marijuana and hemp, I have had the pleasure to work and assist with the development of Pennsylvania’s medical marijuana program. I could not be happier to see these dispensaries opening and helping the sick get relief. However, a problem has developed that will make it very difficult for many of the patients who most need the medicine to receive it.
We Deserve Better Than Corruption And Malice From The Ultra-Orthodox
In a recent story reported in the Forward by Jesse Bernstein, Interior Minister Aryeh Deri makes the claim that Reform Jews who oppose the new draconian Conversion law in Israel that would invalidate Masorti/Conservative, Reform and independent Orthodox conversions performed in Israel, are motivated by “a desire to convert illegal African immigrants and promote intermarriage.” He has further asserted that the bill was designed to “prevent efforts to fast-track citizenship supported by the...
While Israel tarries on pluralism, the Diaspora may be running out of patience
JERUSALEM (JTA) — Like many of my friends, I grew up in the United States with a strong affinity for Israel. As a child we saved money to buy trees, learned Israeli songs, studied Hebrew, visited Israel and marched in Israeli Independence Day parades. I recall well that my parents encouraged me to give part of my bar mitzvah gifts to Israel. Ultimately I made aliyah. Tensions arise whenever the interests of two parties may not perfectly align.
