Let freedom ring! Delaware's Liberty Bell replica ready for the 250th

FROM THE EDITOR Posted Friday, May 1, 2026 10:15 am DOVER — For some time, Delaware’s “Liberty Bell” was propped up on some wood, looking a bit sad and neglected, next to an empty garden. With the nation’s 250th birthday approaching, this was not the best time for caution tape and a “Preservation in Progress” sign around the 76-year-old replica. “It was awful that it was sitting on wood pallets,” said Erik Raser-Schramm, the director of Delaware 250.

Hey everyone, Andy West here. I'm new to the world of real estate and to biggerpockets. It looks like I can learn a lot here and meet lots of people with common interests. I joined BP to get educated and plugged into a network of "doers". I don't have a set in stone direction yet of what kind of investing I'd like to pursue. Signs so far are pointing toward rehab work, whether to sell or rent, not sure yet. Anyway,  I look forward to meeting you all.

Letter: Halong aftermath is different

This is different. The storm that was the remnants of Typhoon Halong has left numerous Kuskokwim Delta communities in ruins. Some communities were spared greater impact, and some homes will be able to be rebuilt. Make no mistake though, this has displaced thousands of people. Alaskans on the road system are not comprehending the scale of the coming evacuee housing issue.
