For 17 years, founder Aneeth Arora has built a label around abundance: colours layered over colours, textures over textures, embroidery, handcraft and the sort of joyful visual clutter that makes a péro garment recognisable in any room.

Lakmé Fashion Week 2026, held in Mumbai from March 19 to 22, brought sustainability back into focus through actual design choices rather than broad messaging. Across shows, designers worked with handwoven textiles, small-scale production, and craft-led processes. The shift was visible in how garments were constructed and presented. Instead of treating sustainability as a theme, collections integrated it from the start.

Clothes Maketh The Collection péro clothes, as always, did the heavy lifting. Working within a restrained palette of blue and white, Arora built an expansive collection that drew from Delft Blue earthenware and Chinese porcelain florals, along with her retinue of checks, stripes, and houndstooth. Separates appeared in her signature whimsical language—softened, layered, and slightly askew.
