Marshall Zelinger / 9NEWS A WestJet flight from Denver to Calgary was evacuated at Denver International Airport Thursday afternoon, the airport said. The flight was cleared for takeoff from Runway 8 at 12:25 p.m. Wednesday, according to air traffic control audio. A few minutes later, air traffic control audio indicated tires on a landing gear were blown and smoke was visible from underneath the plane. Passengers were evacuated using stairs and were bused back to the terminal, the airport said.
