ST. LOUIS – Very warm and muggy conditions as we wake up Wednesday. Mostly sunny skies Wednesday with top temperatures pushing into the mid-90s. Heat index values are likely to be around 100 F. Storm chances return Wednesday night into Thursday, mainly across northern Missouri and into western Illinois. Rain and storms Tuesday morning, Hot & very humid

ST. LOUIS – A thunderstorm complex pushing into central Missouri has been weakening overnight, but the chance for heavy rain making thunderstorms will still be around through Tuesday morning. Saturated soils will be especially vulnerable to heavy run off and flooding. As the rain moves out late Tuesday morning, hot and very humid conditions will settle in. Temperatures that push into the 90s as skies clear and dew points well into the 70s will send our heat index values well into the 100s.

Widespread rain chances Monday, hot and humid week

ST. LOUIS – While it won't rain all day Monday, scattered showers and storms are expected across the entire area. Any storms Monday would produce some heavy downpours. Some may be strong enough to produce some damaging wind gusts and small hail. Brief, spin-up tornadoes also can't be ruled out. With additional clouds around, top temperatures Monday will be kept close to 90 F.
