With power comes responsibility. In Maryland, power resides primarily in the hands of Democrats, so it comes as little surprise that criticism tends to be angled toward them. The governor is a Democrat. So, too, are both U.S. senators, seven of eight U.S. House representatives, 34 of 47 state senators, and 102 of 141 representatives in the state’s House of Delegates. But those in the minority party have responsibilities and should therefore also be held accountable.
