SILVER CREEK TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Deputies are on the hunt for a vehicle of interest in a deadly hit-and-run north of Dowagiac over a week ago. The vehicle of interest is a 2010 to 2012 black Ford Taurus with significant driver’s side damage, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office. Semi-truck driver airlifted to Chicago after crash on I-94 Original

NEW BUFFALO TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — The driver of a semi-truck that rolled over near New Buffalo was eventually airlifted to a Chicago hospital due to his injuries, deputies said. At 6:15 a.m. Wednesday, the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office was called to westbound I-94 at the exit ramp to US-12 for a semi-truck that had rolled over. First responders found the driver was trapped inside the cab of the truck, which was laying on the driver’s side.

Calhoun County man accused of sexually exploiting children in 2011 Original

HOMER, Mich. (WOOD) — A Calhoun County man was charged with sexual exploitation of children that federal attorneys say happened in 2011. Gerald Lee Preston, 69 of Homer, was indicted on two counts of sexual exploitation of children, according to the U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Michigan. Attorneys say in 2011, Preston “used persuaded, induced and enticed” two children to participate in sexual acts so that he could record it.
