I stopped receiving my NHS pension in May and, when I rang to ask why, I was informed that I was deceased. I have repeatedly called to no avail and my emails have received auto-generated responses. The same thing happened last December and I was without my pension for four months, during which I had to borrow from my brother. That time, I was told that someone had changed my account details and my pension had been paid to the wrong person.

British Gas paid me more than £38,000 by mistake, then had no idea how to reclaim it. I receive quarterly feed-in tariff (Fit) payments for energy exported by my solar panels. In May, I submitted a claim for £300, based on my meter reading, and I received an email stating that I was due £38,611.59. This sum was paid the next day and remained there for more than seven weeks.
