The Spring Branch Memorial Sports Association 7U Lightning softball team from Frostwood Elementary closed out the season with a 19-5 victory, securing back-to-back SBMSA Gold Bracket championships. The team also completed its second consecutive undefeated season, marking another strong year of consistent play and steady improvement. The 7U Lightning have established themselves as one of the league’s standout teams and the girls had fun together in the process.

The Spring Branch-Memorial Sports Association 6U Dodgers baseball team claimed the Gold championship in an exciting final match, coached by Ben Harper and Elliott Sutter (pictured, back row, from left). For many Buzz families, some of the best moments on the water are not made at big resorts, but along the coast, fishing in Galveston. Avid fisherman and outdoorsman Nate Alford said his earliest memories include the excitement of going fishing with his grandfather. “I remember being 4, and I could barely sleep because I was going fishing the next morning,” said Nate. Nate, a lawyer, now sees that same excitement in his own children as he teaches them to fish.
