What are dot cakes? That’s what I asked when The Buzz editors mentioned them last week. Apparently, I was the last one to hear about these adorable, layered, cake-frosting-sprinkle concoctions that are served in their very own individual cups and crunch when a spoon hits the sprinkles. Even my husband knew what they were. Word is that dot cakes originated as the signature sweet in the Roslyn, New York, bakery The Dotcakes. And then social media got a hold of them.
