Colorado Springs is full of people and organizations working every day to make our community stronger, more inclusive, and more resilient. This August, I had the chance to take part in three milestones that stand out as powerful examples of what’s possible when we come together with purpose.

I was recently enjoying a “proper catch up” with a dear friend of mine. We were reflecting on the year, talking about accomplishments, acknowledging stresses and imagining the possibilities of 2024. During our conversation, I found myself talking mostly about the pressures of 2023. The year found my husband and I stepping in and helping others who were unwilling and unable to help themselves.

Self-confidence can be a big differentiator between people who achieve their goals versus those who do not. You must know yourself, grow yourself, and believe in yourself to be an effective leader and businesswomen. Economies go up and down, technology is constantly changing, markets shift, and new competitors come along. While we all face challenges, an accurate yet healthy sense of self can help get you through the tough times.
