BEDFORD-STUVESANT, Brooklyn– The teenage suspect who allegedly raped an 82-year-old woman earlier this week was possibly seen in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn Thursday evening, police sources say. Eighteen-year-old Asa Robert may have been spotted near Madison Street and Patchen Avenue Thursday night, sources told PIX11. Robert is wanted for raping and robbing an elderly woman inside her Coney Island home early Monday.

EAST NEW YORK, Brooklyn — It’s an annual Juneteenth celebration in Brooklyn, the event co-sponsored Friday night by Council Member Inez Barron and Council Speaker Melissa Mark Viverito was much different this year. Tonight, there was anger and there are hearts broken for the victims in South Carolina. At the New Hope Family Worship Center in East New York, Brooklyn, they honored the nine people killed at the Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, and vowed that they would never be forgotten.
