LOS ANGELES - A US mayoral race triggered a flood of misinformation from online influencers sponsored by betting companies, exposing a new threat that analysts warn could undermine the integrity of future elections. Prediction market app Kalshi has asked at least two influencers paid to promote the site to delete X posts that spread baseless claims of "cheating" and "stealing" in the Los Angeles mayoral election, according to US media.
