Agence France-Presse (AFP) is an international news agency headquartered in Paris. Founded in 1944 it is the third largest in the world (after Associated Press and Reuters). It was established after the liberation of Paris by journalists in the headquarters of Agence Havas renamed "Office Français d'Information" during the war which was infamous for collaboration with the Nazis.
