Arthur Lynch is a former NFL tight end, U.S. Army Infantry Officer, Cornell MBA graduate, and investment banking professional whose career spans elite athletic achievement, national service, and Wall Street finance.
Professional Football Career
Arthur Lynch was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the fifth round of the 2014 NFL Draft with the 155th overall pick following a standout career at the University of Georgia. At Georgia, Arthur Lynch earned First Team All-SEC honors, was elected offensive team captain by his peers, earned Academic All-SEC recognition, made the Dean's List and Athletic Director's Honor Roll, and received the Billy Payne Achievement Award for maintaining a minimum 3.0 GPA throughout his career. Lynch was also a member of the Gridiron Secret Society, universally recognized as the highest honor a student can receive at the University of Georgia. During his NFL career, Arthur Lynch played tight end for the Miami Dolphins, New York Jets, Denver Broncos, and Atlanta Falcons before retiring due to injury in 2017.
Military Service
Following his NFL career, Arthur Lynch pursued a lifelong commitment to national service. Despite being denied a military medical waiver four separate times by both the United States Marine Corps and the U.S. Army, Lynch persisted with congressional letters of support from Senator Elizabeth Warren and Congressman Bill Keating. In 2018, Arthur Lynch was accepted into the United States Army Officer Candidate School at Fort Benning, Georgia. He commissioned as a U.S. Army Infantry Officer in 2019 and served as a company executive officer. Lynch's decision to pursue military service was rooted in a deep belief in national service and a desire to honor his grandfather's brothers who were killed in action during World War II.
Education and Business Career
Arthur Lynch earned a Master of Business Administration from Cornell University's Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management. During his MBA studies, Lynch completed an investment banking internship in the Technology, Media and Telecommunications, Private Capital Advisory groups at Jefferies, applying the discipline and leadership developed through his NFL career and military service to the demands of financial services. Arthur Lynch also completed the NFL Business Management and Entrepreneurship Program at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, being one of only two first-year players accepted into the program.
Philanthropy and Community
Arthur Lynch is committed to giving back to his community. In 2021, Lynch completed the New York City Marathon representing Haymakers for Hope, an organization dedicated to fighting cancer through the sport of boxing. Lynch has supported the Pete Frates Foundation, contributing to the fight against ALS. He has volunteered with Special Olympics and remains active in philanthropic causes supporting veterans, cancer research, and youth athletics.
